The Redcastle Hotel, in conjunction with the Victoria Thompson Scholarship, presents the Thursday Night Live Cook Off
! The event is set to feature an epic battle between some of the most outstanding chefs of the local and national culinary scene. It promises some fun surprises for food lovers in Donegal!
In the main event, two renowned chefs take the ring to battle it out! They will use their best weapons: spices, herbs, sauces, etc. to be crowned as the best chef of the night!
Introducing first, it’s a freestyle fighter, a man with a unique personality. Combining his sikh heritage with his love for Scottish food he has mastered the art of fusion in cuisine like few. He is quirky and entertaining, a multi-award winning chef that has recently been awarded an MBE by the Queen. It’s Tony ‘the Incredible Spice-Man’ Singh!
His opponent, from Burt, Donegal, but residing in Moville; is another experienced chef well known by locals. A man that has vowed to bring “the coolest food on the planet” and fiercely believes that Donegal has the best food in the World, is willing to prove it on Thursday Night Live! A champion of the healthy food, it’s an honour to introduce Brian ‘the No Salt Chef’ McDermott!
The two chefs have met before, but this event will be the first time they battle professionally in front of an audience! In addition, other guest chefs will accompany them during the night to make things even more interesting. Will Tony
use his signature move
, the haggis pakora, to gain advantage over his adversary? Will Brian
succumb to the charming power of salt? We will know on the 27th of April!
A portion of the proceeds from this event will go to the Victoria Thomson Scholarship, a charity that advocates for children’s palliative care in Ireland. There are many reasons not to miss this event; don’t say we didn’t warn you!
