The team at the Redcastle Oceanfront Golf & Spa Hotel are entirely focused on your experience during your time here and our priority is your health and safety. We want to reassure you that we closely follow guidance and procedures outlined by Fáilte Ireland and the Irish Health Services Executive (HSE) regarding the COVID-19 safety measures, to support the health, safety and wellbeing of our guests, our staff and our community.

Outlined below for your convenience is current health & safety updates per department and each element of your guest journey throughout the castle to assist with your stay.

 • Our Internal food and beverage outlets including The Captain’s Bar, The Deck and The Edge Restaurant are available for residents of the hotel and non resident guests.Our swimming pool, gym and CARA Organic Beauty Spa are fully open and available for hotel residents and non residents. 
• Due to the popularity of our Spa and Edge Restaurant pre booking is essential. Contact spa@redcastlehotel.com to book.
• Kindly note that following the Government announcement in January 2022 all guests residing overnight at the Redcastle Hotel are no longer required to present proof of vaccination or immunity upon check in.
• In accordance with the latest Government Guidelines, guests are no longer required to wear face coverings in public areas.
• Visible signage outlining hygiene protocols at the hotel have been placed around the property, and our colleagues will observe social distancing whilst checking you in and out
• Room key cards will be disinfected with medical-grade antimicrobial agent after each stay.
• Redcastle Hotel will continue to maintain the highest level of hygiene standards for you comfort. You may see hand sanitizer units still in place and staff members respectfully maintaining their distance, this is so we can ease our guests into the relaxation of certain protocols and government directives.
• In accordance with the latest Government Guidelines, guests are no longer required to wear face coverings in public areas during their stay.
• Frequent cleaning and sanitising of all surfaces and touch points is being carried out throughout the hotel.
• Hand sanitiser stations are available throughout the hotel at every necessary location.
• A thorough cleaning and sanitising programme is in place for all guest bedrooms and bathrooms in preparation for your arrival with specific extra attention being given to all touch points throughout.
• Linens will be washed at a minimum of 70°C for at least 25 mins to kill potential bacteria.
• When room is fully cleaned and inspected, sticker is placed on the door that room has been cleaned and sealed for your protection.
• Newspapers, magazines, and all paperwork will be removed from guestrooms and replaced by our complimentary PressReader App which grants you access to over 7,000 newspapers and magazines via your own personal devices.
• Guest directories are available to view on your television, up to date menus and information on the hotel are also updated on the hotel website.
• Bookings for dining in the Edge Restaurant, Afternoon Tea bookings and all private events must be booked in advance. Please contact our Reservations team on +353749385555 to make your reservation.
• Please note that in accordance with the latest Government Guidelines all guests are now required to wear face coverings in all public areas for the duration of their stay up to and including 28th February 2022.
• All dining services will now have the option of in-room and takeaway, in addition to table service.
• Tableware including all used and unused wares, condiments and linens will be removed and disinfected after each party has left. Table tops and chair arms will also be disinfected after each seating.

  • Our pool is constantly being monitored and an intensive cleaning programme is carried out through the day focusing on high volume areas and touch points.
  • An enhanced educational and training program for all employees will run continuously, to ensure the utmost levels of safety and security throughout all areas of our operations.
  • Any local health guidelines around the wearing of Personal Protective Equipment will be strictly adhered to by our teams across all departments from guest services to back-of-house and kitchens.
  • A robust hand washing program is in place with all employees required to thoroughly wash their hands every 60 minutes.
  • Each member of the Redcastle Hotel team will be wearing all appropriate Personal Protective Equipment.
