Enjoy a wealth of outdoor activities on Inishowen. From a coastal walk to families looking for adventure or couples seeking outdoor pursuits, experience a host of exciting endeavours the length and breadth of the peninsula.

There are a wonderful selection of marked trails and pathways waiting to be explored. From Moville there is a beautiful gentle walk along Lough Foyle shore, passing quiet secluded beaches, historic sites and elegant homes. For the more adventurous the cliff top trails at Fort Dunree or Malin Head offer spectacular views. Our reception team would be delighted to offer you some suggestions but wherever you go, the captivating landscape and wildlife is all around.

The peninsula is criss-crossed with safe and scenic cycle paths. If you enjoy a challenging climb visit Mamore Gap or follow the shoreline trails for a more leisurely pace.

The region is a Mecca for anglers. Around our shores mullet, pollock and flounder are in abundance or the rivers are well stocked with salmon and brown trout. Do it differently and try deep sea angling for shark and blue fin tuna.

The Atlantic Ocean pounds the northwest Irish shores giving the area a worldwide reputation as a top surfing destination. The beaches of Bundoran offer some of the best surfing anywhere in Europe with a range of swells suitable for beginners, intermediates and experienced surfers. In the town there are a number of equipment hire shops and surf schools.

Breath taking scenery, exhilarating trails and the great outdoors – there is no better place for horse riding than Donegal. From first timers looking to learn the basics to more experienced riders, the local riding schools offer options for everyone.
