Lauren is from Buncrana, but she actually started her journey in the wedding industry a bit further, across the pond in New York City. “I moved to New York to get experience as a fashion design graduate and found my passion in bridal”, she explains. She trained at various design houses and fashion weeks until she landed an internship as a high-end bridal stylist at ‘The Stylish Bride’. This job allowed her to travel all over the west coast of America attending to brides’ needs on their special day. “In my role I worked very closely with the wedding planners and the couples to ensure they had a stress free and enjoyable wedding day”.

In March 2020, Lauren packed up her life in the big apple and moved back home to Ireland. While settling back in, she continued her work as a bridal stylist travelling around Ireland and worked with many brides to create their dream custom made wedding dress or bridal party outfits. That same year she started working in the Redcastle Hotel as part of the Wedding Team.

“There is something about weddings that has always fascinated me. And there is no better feeling than helping a couple bring their hopes and dreams for their special day to life”, she admits. She is excited to take on her new role as Wedding Coordinator, with the support of the rest of the departments of the hotel. “The attention to detail of the staff and the excellent food will make my job much easier. Of course, the views help too”.
